John

Owner

John has been in the roofing industry for over 25 years. He started his career with a national roofing distribution company, eventually becoming a Commercial Roofing Manager. After seeing a need in the roofing industry for true customer service, he decided he wanted to start his own roofing business. He left his distribution job, and John started Alternative Roofing, Inc. in April 2004.

With his product knowledge and exceptional customer service skills, Alternative Roofing was able to establish a firm footing in the residential and commercial roofing industry throughout Maryland. John oversees the health and overall well-being of the company as well as special projects and new initiatives. In John’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children traveling, and playing sports.

Clark

Sales/Marketing

Clark has been in the roofing and construction industry for over 16 years. In 2003 he started working for a custom home building and remodeling firm. He joined the Alternative Roofing team in 2010. Over his 16-year career, he has gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of the building industry. For the last 12 years, Clark has focused on roofing and providing the highest quality material, installation, and value to all of Alternative Roofing’s customers.

Clark is responsible for running the day-to-day operations at Alternative Roofing. In addition, he is responsible for residential sales and marketing. Throughout his 16-year career, he has learned that a positive, energetic, and talented team like the team at Alternative Roofing is a must to provide the highest quality experience to our customers.

Jonathan

Commercial Estimator/Project Manager

Jonathan has over 13 years in the roofing and construction industry. With Jonathan’s vast knowledge of the commercial roofing industry, whether it’s repair or complete replacement, he takes the time to assess what is needed and work within the provided budget to effectively meet the needs of our commercial customers. Jonathan graduated from UMBC in 2010 (GO RETRIVERS). When Jonathan isn’t working, you are most likely to see him boating with his wife and three children.

Jeff

Sales & Service

Jeff has been in the roofing industry for over 13 years. He is the head of our Service Division and is responsible for leading his team to successfully meet our customer’s needs. Making sure our customers in need of repairs or maintenance know what is needed to fix their roofs to extend the life of the current roof system. He strives for complete satisfaction holding himself and his team to the highest standards. With Jeff’s extensive knowledge of all types of roofing systems, he is able to provide our customers with the best solutions for their roofing needs. In Jeff’s free time, he enjoys fishing at our local reservoir.

Chris L

Production

Chris has been with Alternative Roofing since 2015. Since witnessing his father build their first house at the age of three, Chris has had an interest in building. Over the years, he’s had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best and most experienced craftsmen Maryland has to offer. He has gained experience in framing and trim carpentry, the installation of doors and windows, roofing, and siding. Chris is responsible for scheduling and coordinating our replacement crews and site managers, effectively relaying what is needed to complete our customer’s projects to the highest standards. In addition, he also is responsible for improving organizational processes, productivity, and efficiency in all departments. When Chris does have spare time, he enjoys woodworking.

Linda

Office Manager/Bookkeeper

Linda started her career with the state overseeing the training programs for M.O.S.H., and after 10 years with the state, Linda transferred to the private sector. She has been with the company for over 12 years. With her extensive knowledge of processes and policies, she helped to create Alternative Roofing systems. She handles and organizes the day-to-day administrative duties, oversees and organizes work progress as well as keeps us all running like a well-oiled machine. When Linda’s not working she’ll be at the river catching some much-deserved R&R

Alternative Roofing, Inc. has provided roofing services to residential and commercial customers since 2004. That’s more than 10 years of helping Maryland residents, and businesses protect their properties by ensuring the safety and integrity of their roofs.

The company’s founders started Alternative Roofing, Inc., Inc. when each of them already had over a decade of experience in the roofing industry. Between the two of them, they share 25 years of commercial roofing experience working on government projects and 12 years in roofing product distribution.
